The Oracle PL/SQL language extends SQL by adding the constructs found in other procedural languages, such as variables and control structures, thus allowing for a flexible procedural extension to SQL. In this course students learn the basic syntax and statements used to create functioning PL/SQL blocks. Students write different types of PL/SQL blocks, including anonymous blocks, named blocks, procedures and functions. Packages will also be discussed.
Prerequisites: Introduction to Oracle or equivalent experience.
